Onlyfans Guide for Creators Mobile App
Is OnlyFans Safe?
Starting a new business
venture and posting content online always carries risks. Luckily OnlyFans has a
variety of features and services to keep creators and fans safe and happy on
the platform. Read on to learn more about the features that help you stay safe
on OnlyFans, from keeping your account secure to protecting your content, to
staying in control of what you share on your profile.
Keeping your account
secure
Your OnlyFans account is
where you post your carefully created content and is also where your details
and earnings are stored. As such, it’s important that it stays secure.
It’s a good idea to
secure your OnlyFans app guide account using two-step verification. Google Authenticator
and Microsoft Authenticator are two apps that work well for this. You can set
two-step verification up in Settings > Account > Two-Step Verification.
Follow the instructions to add the QR code or the Key provided to your
authenticator app. This will link the authenticator app with your OnlyFans
account. Once linked, you will have to enter a six-digit code from your app
every time you log into your OnlyFans account. You can select “Remember me for
30 days” to skip this step on a secure device.
If you’re struggling
with two-step verification, the OnlyFans help centre has a useful page on
two-step verification troubleshooting.
You are able to view
your log-in sessions in Settings > Account. If you have reason to believe
that someone has accessed your account without your permission, you should
change your password as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your
account, create a support ticket in order for the OnlyFans Support Team to be
able to assist you.
Protecting your content
Having someone post your
content without your permission is every creator’s nightmare. To discourage
non-consensual re-posting, it’s a good idea to Watermark your content. This
serves as a copyright protection feature. You can turn on your Watermark in
Settings > Privacy and Safety.
If despite your best
efforts your content gets stolen, you can use the services of OnlyFans’
designated Copyright team, which are free of charge to all creators. To learn
more, visit this page on stolen content in the OnlyFans Help Centre.
Blocking and restricting
users
Most users on OnlyFans
are respectful but unfortunately, people don’t always behave themselves online.
That’s why you have the option to block subscribers on OnlyFans. To do this, go
to your subscribers list and click the three dots next to the name of the user
you want to block. Then select “Block.”
You can also block by
country and IP address by going to Settings > Privacy and Security.
If blocking seems like
too big a step, you can also restrict users on OnlyFans. The method is the same
as blocking a user but select “Restrict” instead of “Block.” When a user is
restricted, they will not be able to direct message you or comment on your
posts. However, they will still be able to view and like the content posted.
Choose what you let
people see on your profile
When someone clicks on the link to your
OnlyFans page they can always see your profile name, @username, and avatar with
cover picture. However, apart from these areas, you have a lot of control over
what people can see on your profile. Depending on what kind of content you post
and your own personal preference, you might want to keep some things between
you and your subscribers, or for your eyes only. You can alter visibility
settings for the following in your Settings:
- Your activity status (Whether or
not you are online)
- The text on your profile: if
you select “Fully Private Profile” the text on your profile will be hidden
- Your fan count
- Your media count (The total
number of your posts)
- Your friends list
- The sum of your tips
You can also choose whether
or not to enable comments on your posts, or to opt-out of the OnlyFans
suggestions list.
Staying safe on OnlyFans
Making use of these features will help you
stay safe on OnlyFans and in control of your account. If you would like to
learn more, visit the OnlyFans Help Centre for useful information for OnlyFans
creators and fans. If you can’t solve your problem there, contact OnlyFans
Support for assistance.
